I really liked this hotel. Location, food, services, pool, kids zone near the beach. We took package with lunch and dinner also. And happy with our choice! For all the people who want to enjoy sea and good location, Amwaj Rotana is a good idea!

The place looks nice, quite typical of the hotels by the beach. The location is great (the beach is just across the road), and sizewise the place is not the biggest in the area, which means you may count on some decent service. The pricing is also quite typical to a local 5-star. Rooms are pretty clean, although you still find some occasional carpeting stains, etc. for it is not brand new. Decent WiFi signal/speed. Service quality mostly varies and depends on the people you communicate with. The room service is unstable, they tend to forget some of their daily chores even when you tip. But they fix all fast if you remind. The gym is nice. The beach set comprising an umbrella+bag+mat+2 towels+water fridge is AED 25 per day, much cheaper than you may find on the JBR beach. What may embarrass you is the Covid situation where you are wearing your mask all the time, and at the buffet breakfast/dinner you can’t just help yourself, but you ask a waiter to serve. And in most cases they serve you just a spoonful of what you have ordered, so you may feel awkward asking for more food every meal.

Excellent location on the southern end of JBR with an underground car park. This location means you have quick and easy access onto the E11, avoiding the traffic jams that can curse this area. The balconies have amazing views of Jumeirah Beach and the observation wheel at Bluewaters.

Typical Rotana property with good size well furnished rooms, with very comfortable beds, well maintained and very clean. Bathrooms are also typical Rotana, though, small (even in Premium Rooms) with shower over bath only. The amenities are also standard Rotana.

The reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5, is that the hotel is rather expensive for the standard of rooms, the breakfast is a little underwhelming and you can wait a long time for the lifts. The latter is difficult to address in these days of social distancing.

This is our second time at hotel rotana Amwaj we have emailed neatly in advance The time we would arrive at the hotel because we arrived late and we are traveling with two small babies, this seemed handy due to the long journey and because we would arrive late at night. Unfortunately when entering our room it turned out that he was not ready yet, the baby cots were missing and the door of our double suite room was locked after we were waiting, meanwhile 1 hour later housekeeping came with the cots. It is now half past one and the babies can finally go to sleep. At breakfast, the ladies of the service are very unfriendly and give you no service at all if you ask for it. With this Corona you would think that they are happy to be able to work and receive customers again, but nothing could be further from the truth. The guys from the pool like last year are top again and very friendly here we can have fun with them for the next 1.5 weeks and our compliments to these young men.

We had a really nice stay at Rotana. The rooms were okay, a bit worn. The service on the whole was good, Mohammed at Restaurant Rosso was a star and Sujin and his team by the pool delivered service at the highest level! He was very concerned that everyone was well and was warm and friendly. A major contributing factor to our return to the hotel in the future. The waiters by the pool also did a great job of keeping the guests happy with good food & drinks. We are very happy with our stay, thank you!
