We love water parks and this was part of the reason we stayed at the hotel. But this one just didn't click with us. Rides are all intertwined, it was so hard to meet up again if people went off on different rides, and even the lifeguards couldn't really tell you where riders would come out on the other side!
The other problem we had was injuries - we all got bruised or bashed on the stone walls, and we saw the medic dealing with at least 4 other people. One poor Russian lady sat next to me for 10 mins waiting for the medic with blood all down her leg - I made her elevate it on her rubber ring and got her some paper towels from the ladies loos!

So my advice would be take it easy, take some plasters with you, enjoy Shark Attack which was hilarious, and stay together as a group!

By the way, if you're staying at the hotel, you need a blue wristband to get in, which you get from the 1st ticket window on your left. And to view photos after you leave, go to the entrance to the Lost Chambers aquarium and scan your other, yellow wristband.

We arrived at Aquaventure at 10:30am. We were able to use our UAE ID cards for a residents discount. We were able to get a good position in front of the torrent. The children had a great time. There are so many lifeguards on duty there is no need to worry about falling into the water. They enjoyed the torrent and also completed all 7/8 rapids though all agreed the darkness with rapid 3-4 were unexpected yet lasted only 15 seconds long. If you get tired of the waves, the there is Beach access thrown in and a visit to dolphin bay are a must as we saw the dolphins and they are beautiful. Fast Food is reasonably priced and the portions a good size.

For the very daring the leap of faith is an option though we didn't attempt it but saw many having much fun it is a 9 second slide from a steep drop.

Great fun for whole family with 3 and 5 year old with older boy able to go on "Big rides", just scraping the 1.2m height limit. Not cheap though and we had 2for1 vouchers from The Entertainer book belonging to our resident friends.

We stayed at Atlantis so you get free entry in and out. It was a busy week being kids halfterm, but we used to go for an hour at about 4pm every evening, and there were no queues and it really wasnt busy, The Leap of Faith off the Ziggurat pyramid was apparently scary - I didnt do it!! - but he bloodcurdling screams of people coming down were amusing to listen to! My son said the Shark attack was good.
