“Delicious, classy and exclusive”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

This restaurant became our favourite for special occasions and treats. It offers a dining experience that you otherwise hardly find in Dubai or other places for that matter. The atmosphere has a sense of exclusivity and privacy and from the moment you set foot in the restaurant, you feel that you are the only guest there - mainly because of the staff's dedicated attention and the overall quietness. The tables are set to allow a maximum of privacy and you hardly notice the other guests despite a full restaurant - which it usually is every time we were there. The menu changes regularly and is limited to something like 30 items in total, yet it caters for almost every taste, offering some of Pierre Gagnaire's masterpieces around meat, seafood, poultry and vegetables. The food quality is among the best I ever came across every time and he ingredients are as fresh as can be; mosty flown in from Europe or Australia. The appetizers are usually crafted around a "theme"; mushroom, cheese, seafood are often on the menu. Tried the mushroom and the cheese-themed appetizers and they were simply exquisite! Each one comes with 5 to 7 different small creations of the main ingredient, which all taste out of this world! Actually, the appetizers were the highlight of the meal but that doesn't mean that the mains and desserts were less amazing! Being avid meat-eaters, we ordered different cuts of beef, which came grilled to perfection each time and were accompanied by a variety of delicious small portions of creatively prepared vegetables or gratins. What can be said of the portions is that they're not huge at first sight but by the time you're done with your main dish, you feel that you should stop there and skip dessert, which we did every time. However, Reflets won't let you finish a meal without something sweet under your teeth, so you will automatically get a platter with 6 different small sweet creations, which are effectively a very decent dessert portion in their own right!

While leaving, the restaurant manager would escort you and present you each with a huge home-made chocolate muffin, which tastes so fine and delicate that you wouldn't want to eat any of commercially made muffins ever again!

Overall, an amazing experience every time and THE place to treat and impress your loved one or special guests.
