After traveling through Iran for a few weeks we ended up in Esfahan for a day and visited this famous square. We were disappointed in the atmosphere we came across. The only experience we’ve had with the Iranians was so wonderfull, respectfully and loving that the encounters at the square made us want to leave as quickly as possible. Apparently everyone working here has a cousin in some Dutch city and after trying to make small talk about your country they invite you for tea, and all of a sudden they are selling you their stuff.. that said, the most annoying part of it all is when they are annoyed when you tell them you don’t want to buy anything. We left the square, left Isfahan and went back to Iran the next morning!
