This hotel is just a block away to the river. Actually it’s in the middle on little island so both sides are river but the closet one is just a block away. Everywhere is walkable 15 mins morning market, 10mins night market, 10mins wat xing thong, 5mins Jae Tim papaya salad restaurant and 5mins to Oak pob Tok store that provide free tour at silk factory. Also the hotel is en route for Tak Bat(giving sticky rice for monks in the morning). Not everywhere is on the monk walking route but the hotel location is exactly on the block of ‘Tak Bat’ so it’s easier. I feel like this side of neighborhood is prettier and more convenient than the other end of Luang Prabang.

There’re not many things to do in Luang Prabang. It’s really laid back. We did Tak Bat in the morning arranged by hotel(30,000 kips) and walked to morning market. They provide free bike but we walked everywhere. Came back to eat breakfast which is included and unbelievable excellent. It’s a la carte but no limitation! So many choices for example ‘Noodle soup, eggs, breads, fruit, pancake and many more. Take a little nap during the day because it’s too hot to walk at noon. They also provide free afternoon tea with a little snack. We did 3-4 the temples walking tour(mostly everywhere but the most beautiful one in my opinion is Wat Xing Thong), mount Phousi sunset watch and night markets. Some night, we stay late and drink at the bar around. The city is really easy going and people are so nice so all the activities are depends on your preference not like certain landmarks that you have to ‘make it’.

They also provide excursion to Kuang Si falls or Tad Sae. We did both. Can’t remember the price exactly but I believe it’s around $36-$40 for either one fall private van maximum for 5-6 people maybe. If you happened to go Kuang Si, trek up to the highest level. Really beautiful! Tad Sae is also nice but the water was too strong to swim at the moment you visited.

Airport transfer on the way go, we paid at the airport 50,000 kips maximum for 3 people but you get to ride in a shared shuttle which is pretty weird because if you’re solo, you still pay 50,000 kips and have to share the ride with others. On the way back, we paid the hotel. I can’t remember the price exactly again. I think approx 70,000 to 80,000 kips per van but private transfer no sharing.

The ac works good. They have safe box but no tv. 1 free bottle of water per one person everyday.

For the cons that I minus one star, half star minus goes to bathroom. It’s really clean. Don’t get me wrong but the room we stayed(water lily for 3ppl) had water leaking to the main entrance once we all took shower. I think if you stay room for 2 maybe no problem. We told the hotel already so maybe it’s fixed now. The other half star minus is WiFi. The signal works great! I can upload the vid but somehow I have to frequently switch to several users once the volume is high. It’s kind of annoying. Anyway, none of them not a big deal but still I should say.

Staffs are very nice and helpful! They have no attitude at all no matter how many questions we asked or how many dishes we ordered for breakfast! Lol. Thank you, guys.

This hotel, ideally located in a small and quiet street in the very center of the city, was a perfect choice. Rates are affordable, staff very attentive and careful, rooms clean and well decorated, "a la carte" breakfast...
We will definitely come back!
A special thanks to the Manager, who helped us a lot in organizing our 2 days trip in the magnificent Luang Prabang! Do not miss to talk to him during breakfast time!

The hotel is very centrally located and is very charming. We had a water lily room on the ground floor. The room was big and tastefully decorated, but maybe just a bit dark as it would have been a bit exposed without shutters. Breakfast is a la carte from a small menu but has both Western and Lao food choices. Staff is very friendly and discreet. Overall an excellent value for money choice.

We’ve stayed here for almost a week. Spacious and clean rooms and a great breakfast. Lovely rain shower. Helpful and friendly staff. Great value for money. We’ve rented a motorbike and seen quite a lot of the green surroundings.
