Booked our table here totally on the recommendation of Trip Advisor, and we were so glad that we did. Once you have found it (easy if you have surveyed your route in daylight) you are welcomed by courteous, efficient staff who attend to everything yo want without being over fussy. A small glass of cream of celery soup arrived first which was full of flavour and started the taste buds working overtime. After that, every course was beautifully presented and totally delicious. Our first choices from the menu were far too alike, so we ended up deliberately choosing different dishes so that we could share them. The seared tuna with ginger, soy sauce and honey was to die for and the chicken satay was possibly the best I had ever tasted. Not just good, but out of this world good. The skewered prawns in lemongrass cream sauce were cooked to perfection: moist and full of flavour. We ended with a ginger and honey ice cream, which I have unsuccessfully tried to reproduce back home.
Perfect end to a perfect trip

Blue Lagoon is tucked away on a lane just off the night market.
Decided to dine here after reading some good reviews.
My husband had their buffalo steak; very high quality meat, cooked to perfection, more tender then you would imagine.
I had their Or Lam(Beef Stew) which tasted very close to thai green curry which was nice.
They had no wifi here, but that was ok.

It was the last night of our 3 week exploration of Indo-China so we went somewhere a bit special. We had seen good reviews on guide books so chose the Blue Lagoon. From the moment we went in, the service was impeccable. In fact there were almost too many staff! Two young men were employed specifically to open double doors to let customers through!
The surroundings were beautiful- the courtyard area with plants was full so we ate indoors but that was fine. Booking recommended to get the table you want.
The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Every course was a delight, and we were made to feel special.
It was a perfect place for our final evening before we travelled back to England.

We done here based solely on TripAdvisor reviews and I must say "Thank You!" It was a meal to remember. Chef Somsack's creations are truly a foodie (especially if one is adventurous) dream comes true. Right from the start the small but delicious watercress soup in a glass put all of us looking forward to the rest of the dinner. Then came the deep fried grasshoppers with tagliatelle and lemongrass sauce, pork sausages, beef, chicken, pork rolls with fried rice and curry Mekong river carp - all done deliciously well. Our last adventurous bit was the red ant eggs with raspberry sorbet which was a refreshingly end to dinner. Will definitely come here for another visit when he has a newer items added in his menu.

Came here for dinner, having reserved by email before leaving the UK. Peaceful, refined ambiance. Good and attentive staff. Good selection of meals. Food was well cooked and presented and very tasty!
I think it's only open in the evenings. Don't be put off by the entrance down an alley way, it's lovely inside!
Would recommend!
