We spent four of our eight nights in Luang Prabang here and loved it. The staff was helpful, and the accommodations, though simple were nice. We learned that the owner, before starting Laos Wooden House, had worked at a five star hotel for 20 years, and it shows. The simple aspects mean he is able to keep the costs low in an area of town that is hard to beat for the price (down the street from L'elephant and around the corner *2 min walk max* from Saffron Coffee).
They are also able to help organize trips for you around the city if you'd like and have their own vehicles if you need to be driven/picked up for reasonable prices.More
