The place that is definitely worth visiting. It has a very big collection of coins and notes, the guides are perfect telling the history of all the exhibits presented here. Very nice art exibition on the second floor of the well-known and modern pakistani painters. Here you can also find the first ATM machine, money sorting machine and a lot of other interesting things. There is a nice souvenir shop as well.

Before entering the museum I though I would find lot of old coins, currency notes etc in this museum. Well, these things were there but the most pleasant surprise was the art gallery that contained a very impressive collection of Sadiqain paintings, specially the huge murals. The collection also included the last sketch that Sadiqain drew when he was on the death bed.
Though Sadiqain's works dominates the museums, there are sketches depicting Karachi culture as well as calligraphy by Gulgee.
The collection of coins, currency notes and stamps is also worth looking at.
It's not a huge museum per se but contains lot of valuable and historic things. Worth a visit.

The best museum in Karachi, great place, very well taken care of ! Great skilled guides showing you around, giving you their time. Just know that you need to register with ID before going in to the Museum. So call in advance, or be prepared to wait for some time until the museum is doing their paper work. This is a must visit place.
