It sounds improbable but govt. people under the banner of able Director of SBP Museum, Dr. Asma Ibrahim, has achieved something of a landmark. She converted historical building into a piece of art via extensive renovation and clean-up, then restored priceless Sadequain art works, put them up and also categorized each and every era to display concept of money.

Entry is free. Saturdays and Sundays are closed which is rather unfortunate.

State Bank Museum is really a historic treasure. It houses a huge collection of artifacts of not just Pakistan but also Indian subcontinent. A great place to visit and explore the financial history of this huge region. It remains open monday to friday from 9 am to 5pm and its entry is free.
