The rooms are small and a bit basic. The owner was friendly and the food in the restaurant was really good. Loved the seaside/harbour location. Rooms could be better but not bad. Bathroom very tiny and considering this is one of the most expensive places we stayed on our road trip it could have been better.

We stayed with our 2 kids ages 9 and 13 and had a fantastic stay. Our little apartment had 2 bedrooms a sitting area, table and kitchenette. ASK FOR ROOM A1 - the patio with chairs has an incredible view of the sea. It is directly across from the beach and while not a sandy beach you can certainly swim just off the shore. It IS NOT in old town but a 15 minute inexpensive uber ride. The breakfast is abundant and very good and the dining area that is all windows with a view is perfect. Saturday night is live music which was good and entertaining. Very nice staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The hotel is small and very close to the "beach" which is cliffs and not a sandy beach. It's a lovely place and clean. It seems very cosy and the receptionist is so nice and friendly, very helpful and the rooms have balcony. All in all a very nice stay :-)

Room tip: a room with balcony

We loved our stay at Hotel Delfin. Our first time with our two children (8&5) in a hotel family room. The staff, especially Maria on reception, made all the family very welcome. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent. The views over the bay were superb, especially for the famous Zadar sunset. The kids loved the small toy room so we could laze after dinner with a glass of wine. The beach is just across the road. It is a fairly quiet family beach with clear water and shingle. It was too hot for sightseeing so we hope to come back in Springtime to see more of Zadar and Croatian Lakes. We can recommend a day trip to the lagoon and sandy beaches at Nin.

I was surprised how close to the beach ( not spectacular nor sandy) but locals and tourists swim there. My favorite part of my stay at Delfin was having breakfast with the view of the beach. There a a couple of restaurants and supermarket nearby, but not close to downtown. I was fine with that because I wanted the quiet and peace offered in the area. In addition, there is a bus#8 which can take you to downtown and bus station( it would have saved me money in cab faire). Just keep in mind bus goes by every hour but does drop you off in front of hotel. Buses go by until at least 11pm ish, so can stay and have dinner in town and take bus back. The room offered a slight peak of the beach from balcony but best view is from dining area!!! Highly recommend it.
