We ordered the octopus 3hrs in advance. It was simply divine, we were greeted with a welcome drink (highly recommend the walnut and cherry) and we ordered drinks. The menu was in multiple languages and the serving team spoke perfect English. Food was served shortly after we arrived. The octopus melted in your mouth, every other time I have eaten octopus it has been chewy, but this was simply divine. For two people to eat a very filling main and drinks it was 60 Euro including a tip. The view at the top of the car park was worth it.

If you are coming here pre order the lamb. It is slow cooked for 3-4 hours under a bell so needs pre-ordering) and they offer pork & octopus in the same way, and was great. It came with potatoes cooked in the same way, I found them a little sloppy, I would have peered crispier, but tasty all the same.
The restaurant is rustic, up in the hills overlooking Dubrovnik, a really rural feel. The staff were excellent. We were lucky enough to have Vojo serve us who was excellent, friendly, helpful, informative and attentive. The perfect host. He was kind enough to give us a tour of the kitchen where the staff were friendly and the kitchens clean. It was great to see the charcoal fire tables where they slow cook the meats under a bell. A great experience.
It was good value for money, far better than what you get in town, and far more enjoyable.
It is a great local experience I would recommend!

We preordered peka (but asked veal peka to be prepared separately, not to be mixed with lamb). Somehow they forgot that ”tiny” detail so we had a complimentary dinner: instead peka we ordered different bbq dishes. Everything was well prepared, tasty and from local ingredients: salad was made from vegetable from nearby farms, french fries were all in different shapes and sizes...
We really liked it. Apple and cherry pies at the end were cherries on the top of the evening.

Hint: you can get to here by car driving up the hill on the rather narrow road with only a few spots where you can pass the car driving in opposite direction. If you are not a skilled driver, you might try the road going through the village of Brgat.

We enjoyed our experience at the restaurant, and went back for another dinner as well. The very much recommended "Under the Bell" -dinner did not quite meet our expectations, but other dishes were delicious. The stray cat wanting to share our dinner did get a bit on our nerves, though.

We ordered lamb peka ahead of time. The staff was super friendly. The portion was huge, only had a small green salad with the peka and potatoes. Saw a show on the travel channel and paid a visit to the kitchen, staff showed us the cooking table and bells coated in hot ash. We ate there the night that Croatia beat Russia, afterwords we ran into 15 Austrians there on a bachelor party. We watched the game with them and they were quite nice. The restaurant had musician who played very nice, quiet music during dinner, after dinner they got the Austrians fired up with some German music. One of those times that you travel for and make new friends.
