We have just stayed here for 2 nights on a short break to Dubrovnik. The hotel is centrally located to all the sites and only a 2 minute walk from Pile Gate. We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was ample, and it was nice to eat outside. Yes the rooms were a little dated, but they were clean and spacious, and this added to the charm of the property which is situated right in the heart of the old town, so is a very old building. The bathroom was not overly big, but everything worked, and a small problem with the hairdryer was quickly rectified. We will definitely return here, you felt almost like a local, as the 'street' it is located in has a number of bars and cafes and we soon felt right at home; quickly learning the short cuts to all the main tourist sites. The Antica is easy to get to, we used the Atlas shuttle bus from the airport that dropped us off at Pile Gate, you then walk into the Old town and along the main street and Palmoticeva 3 is third on your left, returning to airport you get the shuttle bus from the bus stop by the cable car, you can either walk up the many steps or walk back to Pile Gate and take the path up beside the walls. As it was no issue to leave our bags at the hotel we opted to walk up as we were almost half way there anyway! For a welcoming friendly stay I would recommend the Antica Ragusa.

Room Tip: There are quite a lot of steps to rooms so if climbing stairs bothers you I would request a room on a lower floor.

Yes agree with other reviews the location is very central. The staff tried to help as much as the could but the rooms were poor standard. In particular the bathrooms. We moved rooms and still had to do a DIY repair in the shower. Breakfast not worth getting up for.

Greetings from India
Antica ragusa was a nightmare. I stayed with my family for 3 nights water clogging in centre of bathroom, used soaps given to us. The bedroom main door lock was broken. We could not lock the door while going out. Unfriendly host and the lobby and stairways was like a ghost room.

The location of this place is unbeatable. Right in old town with everything at your doorstep! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, could do with some more fruit. I would only say that the repairs need to be attended to as our shower flooded.

Stayed for 5 nights. The rooms could use some TLC (the hair dryer didn't work, the heater/air conditioner was trying to fall out of the wall and the bathroom floor was almost always wet because the shower leaked). Our gracious host went above and beyond in all requests and I would stay here again. Breakfast was decent and filling.

Room Tip: Very central and only a few stairs to climb to get to the hotel. No elevator in hotel.
