We had a great day trip see kayaking round the 3 islands.
Meeting point was easy to find and we were given tickets and instructions for the ferry.
When we got off the ferry it was a bit disorganised as our guide Ivan was the only member of staff there and other tourists wanted to rent kayaks whilst he was giving us our instructions
Once we got going the trip was great. There was a mix of abilities in our group including some who hadn't kayaked before. Ivan got everyone going with confidence.
The green cave was a great find although we arrived at the same time as some other groups so there was a bit of hanging around.
Lunch was a traditional croation 5 course meal (150kn per person).
The paddle back to get the ferry was good too.
Had our kayak tour with Ivor last August at Bay of Zaton. Water was very clean and calm, perfect for kayaking with our kids. Ivor was very patient and accommodating with us. Safety instructions were very detailed. The scenery was beautiful with the trees, cliffs and amazing sea. We went to a cave with bats and then went for a swim and snorkel in a cove. While it's near Dubrovnik, the morning kayak provided a quiet time to be away from the crowds.
Skip all the dummies hawking kayaks at the Pile gate. We had Ivor for a day trip to Koločep, and it was awesome. We want to the office to book and got a comprehensive rundown of the tour we intended to book, and actually got talked into a different one that was great. Everything that was promised at booking was delivered. We had a small group, just 6 people, and everything felt flexible to what the group was interested in. We kayaked, swam, ate fresh grilled seafood. My wife and I are not unfamiliar with kayaks, but fairly amateur, and we took a tour rated "moderate" and were completely comfortable. The kayaks are a MUCH higher quality than you can rent near pile.
