This is a strange little hotel, located on top of some shops a couple of miles west of the city centre.
The rooms and decor are trendy and very clean. The staff were extremely welcoming and gave much useful advice.
The breakfast was good and featured local delights such as ajvar. The breakfast lady was lovely and keen that we tried all things Macedonian.
There is a small fitness room, and coffee/tea was available in the evening. Although away from the centre, the hotel is near a big mall which houses some good cheap eateries.
The only issue in Skopje appears to be the taxis. Make sure the meter is on, and get the hotel to call you one, or pick one up from the rank. Even then, you might be liable to be overcharged as we were on the trip to the airport. This hotel is on the 5 bus route, but buying bus tickets is apparently a complex process now, even for locals.
Although we didn't have time to visit it, the magnificent millennium cross was visible from our room and lit up at night quite spectacularly.
We will definitely return to Skopje for longer some day and this would remain or hotel of choice.More
