I took some friends to the Stone Bridge Farm in Acushnet MA, as a surprise. Scott & Joanne did a great job, providing us with interesting insights about cranberries, their history, and how to harvest them. Last but not least, we went into one of their bogs, and took pictures right there. It was a wonderful experience, and we all really enjoyed that tour!
While being in Massachusetts, a cranberry harvest should definitely be on your bucket list. Even better if you can experience it at the Stone Bridge Farm!

This was a great, unhurried experience. They took tons of pictures with our camera and we learned a lot about the bog and the cranberries. It was interesting to see the different equipment and everyone was very friendly. It took me 2 years to get in but it was definitely worth the wait.

This was a delightful visit to Scott and Joanne Hardings cranberry farm. This is a family friendly event and a wonderful way to learn about one of America's first fruits, the cranberry. Very informative and we especially loved donning waders and being able to wade thru the bog. My mother who is eighty especially enjoyed the visit. Truly something for the entire family to enjoy. Highly recommend adding this to your bucket list. It is something very few people get a chance to experience.

Make sure to plan a visit to Stone Bridge Farm when cranberries are being harvested. Check the website or call for more information, then reserve a time for your visit. Not only will you learn all about cranberries, you will be given the opportunity to put on some hip waders and wade into the flooded bog. The husband and wife team, Scott and Joanne, could not have been nicer. We had a great time with them as they told us about the history of cranberry farming, explained the process and equipment they use on their family farm, and then allowed us lots of time to enjoy the experience in the bog. We are so glad we included this in our visit to the area.

My fiancé and I were up in the area traveling and were really looking into visiting a cranberry bog. Not many in the area actually let you get into a bog itself and walk around. At Stone Bridge they make accommodations for you to actually walk and "play" in a cranberry bog. Scott and Joanne were both excellent in providing information on the process of growing and harvesting cranberry and really made our visit special. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking to learn more about cranberry bogs and also looking to enjoy a walk in a real cranberry bog!
