I will always love Sandy Point since it's the closet beach to where I live. It's not the biggest or the best out there but it's a little slice of the Bay

We stopped by while touring the area. It was a cool day so not many people there. Great view of the Bay Bridge and a nice beach. The bathrooms were locked up and it wasn't really looked after as far as I could tell. I imagine it's quite busy in Summer.

This state park is reallt a place to visit in the hot Maryland summer. Lovely beach with clean sand and picnic tables with a very clean restrooms for both men and ladies. The best time to visit is during the week if possible. The weekends get very busy and crowded. The only problem we had is with jelly fish that will give a sting ti remember! Other than that I highly recommend a visit.

The cost is $15 per car but there are deals that lower the cost. You can get tickets on line. There are 3D glasses. The view from the west bound bridge is free and beautiful.

We attended the Lights on the Bay just after the holidays on the last opening weekend. It was just as lovely as I remember from a child. It's a great fundraiser and a unique local event.
