I happened to win a free dinner to Lava and could not have been more pleased with the place! All of the staff was very friendly. We got our order quickly and it was so tasty!! I ordered one of the desserts and I highly suggest getting one! The sugar cookies they provide for dipping are the best cookies I have ever eaten. I can't wait to go back for more yummy food and a show!

An exceptional new addition to Auburn. Lava is a fondue themed restaurant styled as a hidden speakeasy so you dip whatever you order in the matching fondue from main dish items like meats to desserts like fruits, cake, cookies, etc. You enter under the unmarked door with the red light and then through a hidden sliding bookcase. Décor is very classy and fun. Wednesday nights are "dinner in the dark" a 4 course meal what you enjoy totally blindfolded the entire time. Weekends feature the house cabaret show which changes every few weeks but features a great cast of local body positive talent. The cabaret is not for the prudish or the faint of heart but if you come with an open mind and the idea to enjoy a good night out you will have a great time. place can get crowded so service is slower, runners or table helpers would be a good idea on busy nights to speed things up. Also would suggest that the bar brush up on more prohibition and speakeasy era cocktails as that would be a great addition to the theme and the space. All in all love Lava and have been multiple times now and will continue to go back. Highly recommend.

2 of us had dinner. Our waitress was so sweet and very efficiant. I ordered the chicken alfredo fondue at which was fabulous and my friend ordered No fondue with steak and he said that was fantastic. We will definitely be returning and bringing others with us. Thank you for the amazing experience.

Five of us shared cocktails and food on the baby grand piano and stayed for the "Baby it's cold outside" cabaret show. Great ambiance, setting the tone for a relaxed and fun night.
We shared a couple meat boards (hot stone slabs allow you to cook your own proteins at table) and a few savory fondues as well as all four dessert fondues. Everything from drinks to desserts was delicious.
