Close to Casco Antigua (old city) - within walking distance; really close to Hard Rock Cafe with fab view on rooftop bar!! Buckets of beers are great by the pool. Uber is such an easy way to get around this city of contrasts! And Plaza Paitilla is conveniently located to the old and new!

This hotel is one of the oldest in the city. From the outside of course it looks old because is historic, but they just renovated the rooms.
Spacious and clean. I did realize that even though we were 2 people in a double bed room which accepts 4, there was not a lot of room for the clothes if you are staying for long time. However, for us was good.
Bellman Manuel or Emmanuel (not sure) is really hospitable and welcoming. Gave recommendations and tips if wanted to do tours.
Breakfast was I think $13 per person. Never ate, but fyi.

Location was very good since it was near the mall where there is also good restaurants. About 10 minutes away from Casco Viejo (must the visit!) where you can find really good restaurants and rooftop bars.
This was my second stay at this city hotel. It’s an older hotel situated on the bay front in the city. The 18 floor hotel has many rooms with those views. It’s in a great neighborhood and felt safe walking day and night. For morning exercise the hotel is next to the jogging and bicycle trail that winds along the bay front. The hotel staff is very friendly. Theres a great bar and restaurant on site. Really good buffet! Nicely renovated rooms with floor to ceiling windows. The bedding was very comfortable. And those city views WOW! When in Panama City this will always be my go to hotel.
We JUST returned from the Plaza Paitilla Inn in Panama and I can't say enough good things about this hotel and this city. The staff are courteous and friendly and the accommodations are outstanding! Our room had a view over the entire city and with the wall-to-wall, and floor-to-ceiling window, we could see forever! Nicely located in the downtown area, they are close to anything you might want. We took two private tours to take photos of birds and the guide was there before we got to the lobby at 6 a.m. (Talk about prompt!) The food is good, served buffet style or you can order off the menu. The bathroom shower is AMAZING! I would go again in a heartbeat.
When asked about room prices, men at the reception told us to search the Internet. They did not want to explain the room differences. When we asked for a supervisor, they did not bother even to move. We went to a nearby Radisson which obviously made the reception happy, since they did not have to do any work.
This hotel was affordable, clean, luxurious, and had friendly staff. It also had a nice view of the downtown of Panama City. Plus, it had more modern fixtures within the bathroom with a nice shower to get you clean.
