Want something hot & savory? I always want to try places that the locals enjoy.
Great hot tasty and a lot of food. The spicy soup is a meal in itself. For sure try the salad and dumplings and finish with the fried bananas for desert!
Chinese in Ukraine with the whole hole in the wall experience. Worth adding to your trip

If you would like to feel like you're eating out somewhere in China and forget for a minute that you're in Kyiv, this is a place to go. The interior is simple and functional - chairs and tables. The Chef, the host and the waitresses are all natives. The food is truly authentic and delicious, while the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

The restaurant does not even have a sign. A chinese paper lamp hints that you got there. Inside, it looks like a cheap classroom. A friendly server will drop a thick book on the table, the menu. But the food is authentic and homey and...novelty for Kiev, Chinese. Hot and sour soup, glass noodles, dumpings. Super cheap

It took me 10 minutes to find it thanks to FourSquare (but now you have a Tripadvisor review :-) ) and Google maps, the restaurant has no name sign, only two chinese paper lamps. You open the door on a barely decorated room and still few hints that this is indeed a restaurant. The staff speaks some broken english or broken russian (but they are great in chinese).
Menu has all the languages though and large variety.
We had hot & sour soup (delicious), great fried dumplings with meat, good eggplant in pot (a bit too salty) poor squid with bamboo and average glass noodles. But we paid $10 per person and the experience was unique: I felt in someone's kitchen in Nanjing or Shangai instead of Kiev. Worth trying. Place has been opened for 10 years, so hygiene is checked. No reservation accepted (no phone number)
