Love the Rodina Mat and i would go back again if i visit Ukraine. The museum is amazing and learn about the heroic people. We even went to the top top of the statue.

Monuments usually don't intrigue me that much, but this is a site to see, especially for those of us who grew up in the Cold War era. The surrounding area is interesting, especially the war museum at the statue's base, the other nearby Soviet statues and the displays of military equipment from the recent conflict with Russia. You can make this part of your trip to the Lavra monastery complex as it is nearby.

You cant miss it or you are blind. Best to be done in the frame of a guided tour as they tell you some nice details - why is mama facing Russia, not Germany? etc.

Very nice tourist attraction, the museum is very interesting and honest. Its a very afforable attraction to visit, just make sure the weather is clear so you can go up and have a great view over the city.
