Very nice tourist attraction, the museum is very interesting and honest. Its a very afforable attraction to visit, just make sure the weather is clear so you can go up and have a great view over the city.

Built while Ukraine was part of USSR. It is a war monument to WWII. If you are in the area it is worth a look. The museum's below may have been worthwhile, but are closed Monday's so we couldn't visit them.

This 62m statue is a little out-of-the-way from the rest of the tourist attractions of Kiev but still worth a visit. It's part of the Museum of War complex along with a open-air military gallery filled with plans / tanks etc. and a stunning set of friezes called the Alley of the Hero Cities.

We did not go under the statue, but the WWII memorial walk leading up to the motherland, and the statue itself is well worth the time. It is beautiful, and you can truly feel the spirit of Ukraine as you pursue through the “museum.”
Also, it is well lit; so, if you want to see it at night as we did, you certainly can!
