I have just come back from 4 nights here and it was fantastic. The hostel is situated at the bottom of Andrew's Descent, next door to the Museum of One Street and the staff are brilliant. They spoke excellent English and nothing was ever too much trouble. In fact, on Sunday, I was not feeling well and I asked Natalia(?) if there was a pharmacy nearby, where I could buy something to make my stomach better and she gave me some pills, form her first aid box, and in a couple of hours I felt so much better.
My room was number 42, on the top floor and it was spotlessly clean, with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and TV. There was no wardrobe, to hang clothes but there was a rail, where you could hang shirts/t-shirts and a couple of small cabinets where you could put smaller things, like socks etc. As it was in the roof, the ceiling was low, with sloping sides and I did bang my head a couple of times but this was a very minor problem. The only thing I would say is that my room was not cleaned for 3 days but I am not sure if I needed to ask, first.
There was internet in the reception area and next to the reception was Druzi cafe, which did some food and drinks and very good prices and was a nice place to chill for an hour or so.
Overall, a really great place to stay and if I do go back to Kiev, then I will certainly stay here again.
