Convenient to the 8-lane highway, directly out front. One can hear lorries/big rigs/road trains, 24hrs.
Views of the fenced-out forest from the rooms & cabins.
Only an hour- 1.5hrs. walk to the nearest shopping centre.
Located in a grim, dark, industrial suburb- right at the edge of a forest.
Walking from Kozatsky Stan to the developed area, I was accosted by an agressive man in a military outfit. He demanded money, & I didn't know if he was a real civil servant or not- so I gave him 20 Hryvnias.
One must traverse a really bad neighborhood, to get to the business district.
There are agressive stray dogs along the pedestrian route.
You pass several factories, spewing god-knows-what into the air.
A different day, after being here for over two weeks, I was walking back to my cabin, & the motor lodge staff's security guard yelled at me & spit at the ground in front of my feet.
I couldn't understand what he was saying, because almost nobody speaks English, but I think he wanted me to prove I was a guest.
These are not quiet cabins situated in a forest, but in a rowdy motor lodge, adjacent to the major East-West highway.
The patrons are overwhelmingly local Ukrainians from the city- here for partying & loudly living it up.
This is one of the least friendly areas in Europe.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and we liked it a lot. The hotel is situated very close to the airport (about 20 minutes drive) and a bit outside of the city. However, it takes only 20 minutes by metro to get to the centre of Kiew. (plus you need to walk 5 minutes to get to the metrostation). If you are not afraid of going by metro this is a place to stay in Kiew. There are some separated houses that decorated in Ukranian traditional style. The hotel has a big green area with some elements from Ukranian folklore. For example there is a real well that matches the atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms are clean ans spacious ( we stayed in a so-called "spa house").Be ware: in Russia and in Ukraine there are usually no shutters or dark curtains so maybe you would better take a sleep mask in order to sleep more comfortably.

The breakfast was superb. They offered a great variety of warm dishes. (it's the russian- ukranian style to eat big breakfast). Also the menu is very good with a lot of traditional dishes. All of us liked aubergine with garlic as a starter.

We had to pay the rooms on arrival (quite usual in this part of the world)

The Kozatsky Stan Hotel is located at the very big highway leading from the city center to the airport. It is a nice hotel, quite stylish with 'Russian' charme and has a separate restaurant, which serves good food.
The room was immaculately clean, but overheated, and at the time I was there fully booked and therefore a bit noisy.
Breakfast was ok with nice local pastries.
It is located close to a metro station and the business district, right at the edge of the city.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, less than 1km away from the last subway station of one of Kiev's lines. Of course, less than 1km sounds ok during the summer but not with -10C and 1 m of snow outside. It is along the highway that goes to the airport, in the adjascent wood. So it is quiet, warm and charming. My room was clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff was courteous and the food was very good at the hotel restaurant. Overall a good experience.

this hotel lies in beautiful rustic surroundings amidst a pine forest.
Has five folklore culturasl restaurants some out side, good live music in the out door restaurant, food quality excellent, I would recommend the shaslik very good and restaurant prices are reasonable dinner with starter, main course and desert around $23.
the hotel has 58 rooms all have free internet connection, there is a sauna, and the hotel has some cottages which are ideal for family or business meetings as you can eat and meet in them if you desire. The metro station about 250 meters away with direct access to downtown Kiev and Barispol Airport is about 15 minutes away and transfers can be arranges at the hotel reception.
