Casa Ferrari B&B is a cosy and comfortable B&B in the heart of Sofia. From day 1, the owner, Ludmil has been fast and responsive in his communications to me. I got to know that Ludmil provides pick up service at a reasonable price and since we arrived very late at night, Ludmil was already waiting for our arrival at the airport. Ludmil does not stay at the B&B but nearby. The B&B is very clean and cosy with beautiful italian styled furniture. The room and bathroom is spacious. Coffee and tea is always available and you can make it yourself at the kitchen. Ludmil also provides wonderful breakfast everyday and chats with us while we are having our breakfast. He's very knowledgeable and we have enjoyable and lively conversations with him. The B&B is walking distance to 2 different metro stops and you can also walk to almost everywhere as well. The main shopping street - Vitosha Boulevard is around 15 mins away by walking. The B&B is in a quiet but secure lane. You have to have a pass to enter the building and then a key to enter the main door of the apartment and finally a key to your room. We enjoyed the walks from the B&B to the sights. Along the B&B, there are food shops and small shops selling knickknacks. Ludmil is always there to provide assistance and information should you need it. He can also take you on day trips to Rilla Monastry. Our flight leaving Sofia was late night and Ludmil kept our luggages at the main area as there was already a guest coming in the afternoon.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again at Case Ferarri in the future.
Casa Ferrari B&B is centrally located to shopping, food and trains. It is located just off a main road, but tucked away so that traffic noise isn't a bother. The rooms are clean, and the heat kept us warm after long days walking in the cold temperatures. No issue with the wifi! The century old Italian furniture is beautiful, but the real gem of Casa Ferrari is the host - Ludmil. He is amazing and genuinely loves everything Bulgaria. His knowledge of the culture and history is well above par, and his friendliness makes you feel comfortable. Traveling is an amazing way to learn about the world, and Ludmil is certainly an ambassador to all things Bulgarian.
Ludmil offers a series of cultural trips on his website. I would highly recommend one of these items. The price is reasonable and Ludmil is your personal tour guide. If you plan to visit Sofia, do try to book a room with Casa Ferrari!
We stayed at Ludmil's B&B for 4 nights (Dec 2-6, 2017). He met us at the bus station as promised. We also contracted with him for a trip to Rila Monastery; the trip was wonderful! He's an extremely friendly guy, and also very knowledgeable about anything related to Bulgaria. His B&B has beautiful Italian antique furniture and a very homey ambience. You should certainly stay at Casa Ferrari if you go to Sofia!
This is a very comfortable and friendly B&B located in a residential block aparment building. Rooms are very comfortable with wifi, A/C and large clean bathrooms. Good breakfast, the host is very helpful and friendly. Just southwest of a great area for restaurants and nightlife and close to the NDK Metro stop.
What an incredibly warm welcome by a very friendly gentleman who was very happy to provide a lovely stay, sharing some of his heritage. He is very knowledgeable about the country's history and happy to freely share. In fact he offers day tours around as well as a guide. The place is located in an area with a few shops and restaurants around. The street is quiet and had a nice quiet night. The facilities are simple but nice, with a shared breakfast and lounge room. There is a kitchenette which was great and you can use it to make some tea, use the fridge, dishwasher etc. Very handy and especially if you are staying for longer this is really good. The room was clean and had everything I needed, desk, simple toiletries, airco, tv etc. I felt made so welcome and taken care of it was a very nice experience. Breakfast was absolutely lovely with fresh local delicacies, yoghurt, coffee and juice. I have already recommended this to my colleague who was staying in a chain hotel. Much nicer experience here as you can get a feel of the culture even if here for a short stay. Definitely recommend! By the way wifi included and superfast.
