From the first look it might look like a very "Soviet style" hotel, but when you step into the hotel (where the first floor serves as a commercial center as well) it definitely looks different.
It is big and "bulky" a bit, nevertheless the rooms are quiet and the view is beautiful. There is a free WiFi, a spa, nice dinning room etc.
If you are not looking for a luxury or a boutique style, Belarus Hotel can surely serve as a decent place to stay in.

Huge hotel with great views over the Vislach River

Rooms are very small so don't expect much in this regard. Comfy bed.

Buffet breakfast served, but not cheap so we didn't use.

Helpful reception staff. Nothing really in terms of bars etc within 10 minutes of hotel so we used Uber alot to get us into the centre as very cheap.

Used the pool once, which you have to pay for if after midday. Decent.

Gym looked good.

Centrally located in Minsk with great views over the city especially from the top floor they serve a good buffet breakfast
the Hotel has an adjacent Casino and sit in a middle of an artificial lake. The hotel is close to the great war museum and many restaurants and a shopping mall.

Had four night stay. Room was on the 12th floor facing the city centre which gave great views over the river.

Rooms are quite basic but comfortable. Beware of restaurant times, though. They advertise that last orders are at 2300. I turned up at 2230 to be told that they had shut.

Location-wise, it's on the edge of the main areas that you will want to visit. But, it's only a 20 minute walk along the riverside. Very pleasant walk it is, too.

The hotel is a huge complex, which dates back to the Soviet era. The rooms are renovated and comfortable enough. I stayed on the 21St floor and the view over the parks along the Vislach River was spectacular. The room was not very big, but it had everything what is necessary.

The hotel is located on the river bank on the opposite side of the city center. It takes 30 minutes to walk to the historical center and the main street, Independence Avenue (праспект Незалежнасці). The neighboring parks are spacious and peaceful. To the north along the river, there are many remarkable buildings and sites like the War Museum, the Palace of Independence, National Exhibition Center, State Flag Square and an amusement park. One of the biggest Shopping Malls, Zamok, is next to the Flag Square. It takes 30 minutes to walk there and it costs something like 5 euro by taxi.

The staff at the hotel was friendly. I had some problems in getting help with ironing and finally the receptionist was able to solve the problem with the maid who spoke only Russian. There is a restaurant on the top, the view was really magnificent. The food was fine, but the restaurant is not run by the hotel. There is a small lobby bar at the reception and a coffee shop on the ground floor. In the entrance hall, there is a small shop, where you can buy drinks, beer, candies, etc.

The hotel has an in-house pool and spa. The pool area was run down already and the small saunas were smelly. There is an extra fee to get to the spa.

My stay at the hotel was comfortable. The location was good. Depending on your interest, you may feel it’s remote. You have to walk or take a cab to get to the places of your interest. As Minsk is a big city, I think, it’s always the case.
