We booked this hotel for our first night in Nadi and our last, as it is 15 minutes by taxi from the airport. Take a yellow taxi and the price is between FDJ$ 13 and FDJ$ 15
The rooms had sea view, there is no closet to put away where to stock the things, which can be annoying if you want to stay a few days.
the cleanliness is not tip top. we did not eat there, we went to the hotel restaurant right next door where the food is very good.
they do not take care of the exteriors, it's a shame to find a beach bed totally torn everywhere, or no beach bed at all on the deckchair .. it would not be enough to take care of the outside and make you want to stay in the evening especially.
we left 2 bags there during 15 days the time of our trip, which we recovered at our second and last passage at the end of the stay.
value for money, we are on rooms at £ 90 which is very expensive for the service we received. In Europe, a room at 90 £ / 100 € you have a level of 2/3 stars.

I have stayed here 5 times in the last two months and use it as my hub for getting around Fiji and flying to other South Pacific countries.

There's a free airport pick up which is handy. Mili at the reception desk always has a smile and positive attitude and remembers everyone's name! I always enjoy seeing her when I return. Mila and Mary at the travel desk always help me out when travelling around Fiji. This time they helped with my trip to Taveuni, helping me find the right express bus and timetables, as well as booking accommodation and the ferry.

The lads at the Tropic are great too. They help with suitcases and activities at the hotel. Wayne is great at coconut jewellery making and has great skill in carving animals as well as playing the guitar. He also introduced me to Katy who is the dive instructor next door, I heartily recommend going out on a dive with her. Meli is great at telling stories around the grog mat and is always willing to help with whatever you may need.

In terms of the accommodation the rooms are clean and tidy, I have stayed in a variety of rooms from a 5 person dorm to a two person bunk and single en suite, depending on the number of nights. I have met wonderful people here and look forward to returning in a few years.

bula bula,

Thanks for the nice comments and sorry to hear of the prepaid breakfast issue. Our prepaid breakfast is offered online in advance at the discounted price of F$10pp, although if you order it direct at the cafe, it is F$11.50. We are bamboozled by your comment that you paid F$20.. Maybe that was supposed to be for 2 breakfasts? Any further details via email would be greatly appreciated. In any case, we have just refreshed our entire menu with plentiful Fiji fusion options. We hope you can give our kitchen another chance one day :)

It gets frustrating when you email the staff a couple of days before regarding your flight time and pick up at the airport. When my flight from Honiara arrived I had to call a couple of times for them to send the shuttle over! Not very professional as they kept telling me their agent was around! When the shuttle finally came, I asked about where their agent was and the boys in the shuttle replied she had gone home! Wow! And there I was looking 4 her all over! Rooms were not really up to standard! Something was out of order in the bathroom & there were no towels nor hot water! I don't recommend this place!

Bula Bula!

Thank for the comments and apologies for the imperfections. We have staff permanently based at the international terminal to ensure no pickups are missed, but it seems something has gone wrong in this case. We have shared all these points with our team, we wish we could have done more to make your stay more wonderful, and we appreciate the opportunity to improve our guest experience ..

Vinaka and best wishes,

Tropic Team
