I have added few unedited photos to show how disgusted we were on our recent visit. I have stayed here before when I travelled alone, this time i feel that it was a bit more run down. It is the first time too I ever book a hotel in Fiji to actually fear for my kids well being, just how filthy it is. It is super unhealthy especially if you travel with young ones!

The key doesn’t work most times, be fit to walk with tired young children up and down to the office to get it reprogram.

If you an Accor plus member like I am - be ready to still pay for the $40 late check out fee despite your entitlement.

On the up side, the Mongolian dinner was absolutely tasty. We also enjoyed the pool. The restaurant staff was super friendly and phenomenal.

Stayed at Novotel Suva on business for 3 nights. It’s a beautiful setting on the water at Lami bay. Staff are wonderful and very attentive + welcoming. Had some bad luck with room/s. 3 rooms in 3 nights but staff were very helpful in transfer of rooms one of which was due to heavy rain causing water to leak through roof into room. It’s not the issue but how a business deals with it that is remembered, so thanks for looking after me Novotel Suva.

We booked on a Qantas promotion and were given one of the worst rooms, 611 was the second to last room furthest away from the restaurant and reception. We have stayed here twice previously and given positive reviews but it seems standards have declined. Last night we wanted to take advantage of the bath but there was no plug so we had to wait for one to be brought to the room. This afternoon we made cups of tea but there were no teaspoons so we had to use the handle of our toothbrush to stir the tea. Tonight at dinner my meal arrived and was barely warm, I ate it anyway and was finished and my wife's meal still hadn't ararived. We left the restaurant after refusing to pay even though my wife has an Accor Plus card. The only redeeming feature was that the waiter Saula brought a meal for my wife and two glasses of wine to our room at no charge. We will not be staying here again.

Straight to the point!!!Please Stay here but please don't eat here and watch your drinks!!!
The meal was absolutely disgusting and over priced.
I ordered two beers from bartender and agreed to grab the 2nd beer later on.
I went to the bar to grab my 2nd beer and waited for the bartender to arrive. I politely ask for my 2nd beer and then the bartender pointed to this glass on the bar table and said this is yours. I unfortunately said to the bartender, no this is not mine, you haven't poured it yet!
He then went to the dirty dishes and grabbed a glass and then ran it under the water using his hand as a cleaner!!!
He then shook the glass to get the remaining water out of it and poured me a beer. I was absolutely blown away of what we had done and replied you can't do that, have you a dishwasher. He pointed to it and said yes we do.
This hotel needs a serious look at the restaurant staff and help them with training.

For the benefit of our Trip Advisor readers, we recently revised our restaurant menus to Contemporary Island cuisine, promoting the use of local produce. We have had improved restaurant covers, which means a lot more guests dinning in our restaurant since the change. In terms of being overpriced, all restaurants in hotels in Fiji are subject to 25% Government tax (VAT 9%, Environment levy 6%, Service Turnover tax 10%), which actually inflates the prices.
Thank you for sharing your concerns, it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.
