We went twice. At night (better) and for lunch.
The place is very interesting as it was an old shop. It also has a glass cave which makes it interesting to visit.
The service is very friendly. We had barbecued meat, all very good. And "Panqueques" with caramel for dessert. The first time, at night, the service and the food was better. Also the crepes were better. But it is a highly recommended place to visit. Book ahead. At night is full.

The food here is very good - the steaks are top quality and the rustic potatoes are served in their own metal basket. There is also a large selection to choose from - risotto and tortilla are two non-meat options. The selection of wine is very good too. The place does get very busy, despite being very big, so you need to book in advance. If you haven't booked and there's only two of you, then you might be lucky so long as you turn up early.

This corner restaurant in residential and centrally located Punta Carretas has a very charming atmosphere- decorated like an old grocery store- and even a historic nook that was once used to harbor prison escapees. A nice space. The food, however, is not so nice. Their pastas are lacking flavor, really below average even in a city were “average” is not that great. Some of the meat options from the parrilla are slightly better. Go for a drink or an appetizer.

The food is pretty good, but not great. Big wine selection, good cocktails. It can get a bit noisy and crowded. It has a nice patio for warm nights.
