We were in Cusco for New Year’s Eve; when we went to Urubamba and decided to go to Casagrande restaurant. This was such a fantastic buffet experience. The food was delicious The authentic Peruvian - Nouveau Andean Cuisine!
We had the trout ceviche (wow delicious) and the fried trout (excellent), you should try the soups, they were astonishing (quinoa soup and corn soup –saralawa I guess). Simple, clean and delicious!
The price is good $$; usd17 per person
the food is really good and fresh ingridients.
its well located

Went to this place because it was included in our tour.
It is a trap because it is below average food, terrible desert, bad service and of top of all of this they say that beverages were not included and charge up to 3 times the price you would pay in normal restaurants that have food 100 times better than this.
Avoid buying tours with food included. It's a bad deal.
Places like this only exist because of tourists but they clearly don't give a rat's bottom about quality or honesty.

I have to first admit that I did not eat here. But there is a very good reason. I walked in and the "moza" told me the buffet was 50 soles per person! This is a peruvian buffet based upon chicken and she wanted nearly $20 USD per person. I walked right out.

What I really liked about Casa Grande was the environment and the service of the lodge. I visited three Casa Grande hotels and the uniqueness of each of them is evident. Each of them evoke the majesty of each of the different cities. Recommended!

Lunch at this restaurant was included as a part of a Sacred Valley Tour.

But, a member of our goup had his camera stolen, though the restaurant was virtually empty. Discussion with our guide and area officials raised much suspicion relative to staff involvement.

To be fair, the buffet food is acceptable, but you should demonstrate extreme caution if you eat at this restaurant.

Finally, drinks not included were very, very expensive, 100%+ more by comparison with other restaurant options experienced on our trip. A coca cola that might cost S./2-3 elsewhere, cost S./4-5 at Casa Grande.

If in the United States, we would refer to Casa Grande as a "tourist trap".
