A friend and I did the Salkantay 4 day trip and we just loved it! We had the best tour guide, Joaquin, who really knew what he was talking about. He told us stories about the Inka history, recent history and other funny stories, which made the whole trip. And his English is so good, which is good cause I don’t speak a word of Spanish...

We had the kindest horseman, Roberto, who took care of our luggage.
Probably the most important thing about the whole trip is the food!! It was just amazing. We had a three course meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our chef, Eusebio, and his son, Isaac, made us homemade food and it was just amazing. I am vegetarian and they made me veggie food for every meal, which was just incredible. Also, we got snack in-between the meals in case we got hungry.

Even though it’s a bit more expensive, it was definitely worth it. Having an amazing tour guide, the best chef and kindest horseman guiding us these four days. So thanks to flashpacker connect and their amazing team!!

We did the 4 days Salkantay trek, which ended up in Machu Picchu. Our guide, Joaquin, was such a cool and friendly guide who knew what he was talking about and told us some hilarious stories. The first day we got picked up at our hostel and ate a good breakfast in a small town 2 hours from Cusco. After meeting up with our great horseman, Roberto, we startet hiking. We visited the Humantay lake, which was incredible. Joaquin knew when to get there to avoid all of the other hikers, so we had the lake all by ourselves. The next day we had a beautiful hike to Salkantay, and enjoyed an amazing lunch made by our chef Eusébio. The third day we hiked to a small village and from there we took the hydroelectric train to Aguas Calientes. Here we spent the night at a nice and cozy hotel with a view overlooking the Urubamba river. We had the option to either hike or take the bus up to Machu Picchu. We hiked and it took for about 1,5 hour in total from our hotel. Joaquin guided us around Machu Picchu for 2 hours, and even though the weather was not the best we had a great day. Thank you so much for making this trip the best! Would definitely recommend Flashpacker Connect to all of our friends and family back home. It was a bit more expensive than other companies, but absolutely worth it.
