This hotel is in an ideal location, right on central square. Reasonable price, staff is very friendly. Rooms are fairly tired, bedding a bit dated, rooms pretty spartan. Cuzco seems to have a pretty bifurcated hotel system - reasonable but somewhat mediocre accommodations, and nice but much more expensive. This place was fine for me, my wife was not crazy about it, but is was inexpensive, and well located. Baths are fine. Breakfast is very basic - again fine for me, but my teenage children were left wanting. Was able to basically leave bags in room when went on Inca Trail hike - so very convenient in a lot of ways.

I had to go back and reread the ratings again - I picked this through tripadvisor, may well have picked it again after staying here - but I struggle to understand who would give it a 5 star rating frankly. That is not a negative on hotel exactly - but creates a completely false impression of hotel, and a set of expectations that are not going to be met. I stayed at 3 other hotels in Peru this trip - one was a clear 5 star, and it is night and day. Anyone giving Loreto a five rating is not being very helpful.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing street

The hotel has a great location! But by the grade and price, we expected a little more of this hotel. The room was simple but confortable. However, the hot water was not working and we were there in the coldest weather, that was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast could also be better. The hotel has two parts and we were in the back of, which may explain the regular lodging.

Room Tip: Chose the rooms in the main building of the hotel.

The staff was very nice, it is located in front of Plaza de Cuzco but in the opposite side of the nightclubs and loudness so we enjoy a peaceful and restful sleep night on a Thursday night! We booked a one triple bedroom, so 3 beds: 2 twins\1 full, exactly what we were looking for it. Cable TV english\Spanish, heater, big, big bathroom with a big tub similar to a jacuzzi, hot tea and hot beverages available all the time by the lobby for free. Starbucks right next to it. Plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, etc around it. We highly recommend this restaurant named Capricho, mmmm....the best chicken soup, lomo saltado, and churros ever, soooooo good. Big market I don't remember, I think is San Francisco is within 5 or 10 minutes walk and you can find EVERYTHING you can imagine. We stayed for one night on our way back from Valle Sagrado to Lima the 21st of July and the next morning at the check out they storage our luggage while we enjoy the schools parade or desfile celebrating Independence day. It was super awesome.

Room Tip: Our room was in the first floor # 111 Very big and spacious with a big bathroom with big tub like a...

I'm so glad we chose this as our hotel in Cusco! The location was perfect, pretty much in Plaza de Armas. The staff was very friendly and helpful with booking great tours and calling taxis for us. She even made us coca tea upon our arrival. The rooms were very clean and ours had plenty of hot water. It could be a bit noisy at night (being in Plaza de Armas), but we used a fan app on our phones that helped us sleep. The bathroom did have a pretty bad smell to it. The beds were very comfortable and the wifi worked great. I loved the location and coziness of this hotel.

Can't get any closer to the center of action in Cusco. Hotel itself was okay, but location is what was really worth it. Visiting during the festival that happens basically all of June was pretty cool too, but be ready for constant dancing and music!

Room Tip: Pick one away from the street (can be loud at night) and away from breakfast room (can be loud in th...
