Only stayed in the Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza for one night before embarking on the Inca Trail hike, but we really liked the place and would go again.
The design was great, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was large, well heated.
The location was out the door, turn right, walk about 2 minutes and BOOM, you're in the plaza.
Only issue was not of the hotel, but rather the old parts of the city. Was a cover band with, uh, minimally exceptional vocals playing nearby until 1am followed by some form of argument around 5am. The old walls carried the sounds rather well.. so see if you can get a room in the interior of the hotel.More
