Delightful place with great views, breakfast was filled with fresh fruits, pastries, local juices and tasty eggs. A nice find..with WI-Fi free to customers!

Not sure why many restaurants start being good and inexpensive, and end up being not so good and expensive. Does it depend on the chefs (who leave when they are not adequately compensated)? On owners "resting on their laurels? On placing too much emphasis on the profit motive? Who knows. In any case, Swisscorner has gone down that path. A pity.

We went to Swisscorner in Tumbaco for brunch on a Sunday. We were surprised by the limited menu, a stingy attitude: wanting to make you pay for whatever, no good coffee nor capuchino included, the place is not that pleasant.. en fin, nothing special.. a lost brunch opportunity...

Went here for dinner and was surprised by the limited menu at that time of day -- they were mainly serving hot or cold sandwiches. However, both our hot sandwiches were very tasty on their beautifully baked bread. The next time, went at lunch when the place was full, and each of us ordered one of the standard almuerzos, which were both very good and large portions. Service was excellent both times, even when busy with business clientele midday. The shortbread cookies/ galletas from the bakery are great!

Nothing spectacular but very good food, EUropean style food --my friend and I ate late Sunday breakfast with lots of food and other people. It was good and I would go back.
