It’s a lot of steps, but worth it.
Very pretty, well maintained
clean, friendly. Our room was quite small but it has beautiful views of the garden. Without asking they have offered us a larger room due to a cancellation, I had booked last minute and was happy to have the room. Very pleased with our choice.
Big bathroom, cable tv, WiFi
Restaurant open 6pm-8pm

This is an old and lovely place but the only drawback is no elevator. We bought the plan with breakfast and we had dinner here but there was a charge for dinner, it was good. The rooms were big and beautiful, ours had windows that opened, we liked this.we took a trip in a van to the open market for selling arts and crafts plus clothes and jewelry, it was a warm day but we enjoyed seeing the people and talking with them, it's high altitude so be prepared as you must drink a lot to stay hydrated.

Room Tip: As usual ask to see them or ask for details.

Dear Judy D,
Thank you so much for your kind assessment of your recent stay with us. It was a pleasure to note that you enjoyed the provided services. Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant but rather a small Bistro, where we serve breakfast. In case a client wishes to have something to eat at night we offer a small selection of foods, prepared to order and, of course, those items will be charged, as they are not part of the bed and breakfast arrangement. I am sorry that we do not have an elevator. We realize that it is somewhat difficult to climb the stairs but unfortunately, there is no possibility to add an elevator. Very sorry.
Kind regards,
Pahola Haro, Manager

My husband, two young adult daughters and I stayed three nights in the hotel two weeks ago before heading off for a Galapagos cruise. We had two rooms toward the back of the second floor, and there were very few guests in the hotel, so it felt like we had the floor to ourselves. The rooms, each of which is different in floorplan, were very clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms but antique style furnishings. (The entire hotel was filled with antique bric-a-brac and furniture that felt a bit like visiting the mansion of a wealthy spinster aunt at the turn of the 19th century, but it made the experience fun.) There was a lovely sunny little breakfast room where we enjoyed excellent breakfasts each morning and even arranged for dinner when we didn't have the energy to go out. The service in the hotel could not have been better. The location was also very good: we walked to the historic district in about 10 minutes through an area that felt quite safe.

Room and bath (great shower) appointments were first rate--good location for walking down into Old Town (without being in the middle of it) or up to Mariscal Sucre district--and also inexpensive cab rides to key locations in Quito. Dinner in the dining room was very good--reasonably priced, excellent dishes--and the breakfasts! Oh to be sitting back with the singing canaries and flowers in the morning with fresh fruit, eggs, bacon,.....shall I go on? I highly recommend this hotel and its staff--first rate accommodation.

This is a nice boutique hotel. The rooms and hotel have beautiful furnishings. It looks like it should be a hotel in paris. The staff were very helpful especially andres. The only things i think that need to be improved are the amount of toiletries given and better quantity of towels. I also think the bathrooms could be updated and the breakfast improved. The selection is minimal but maybe that is what breakfast consist of in ecuador. If you can book the owners suite. It is equivalent to a presidential suite in the states except for the bathroom.
