Delicious pisco sours! Not too sweet, fresh and strong, served in gigantic glasses.
The food is well made peruvian, not remarkable peruvian, but lately we have been getting spoiled in Chile with this amazing cuisine of our neighbours...Ceviche was from tilapia and that is about the only fish that is not available local and fresh around here, not that I dislike tilapia, it's just a bit boring, this is probably the only bad thing I have to say about this place. Also it was a bit too over "cooked" for my taste, but the portion was very generous and it had lost of different interesting elements like potato and peruvian corn, that are not normally found the local ceviche, they definitely get a plus for that. It's a full meal. The rest of the food I had was ok, nice I guess, but honestly I don't recall much of it, maybe because it was not remarkable at all, but I also suspect that the pisco sours had something to do with it too...

Great pisco sours. A nice patio with a view of the city. The logo saltado was delicious. Can't go wrong with a visit here.

For lunch, we walked up the very steep hill from Plaza Victoria and a set of stairs to pop out in front of the restaurant. Can't recommend the walk; it isn't as well-maintained and traveled as the rest of the stairs in the city.

From the outside, the restaurant is unassuming and simply decorated. We couldn't see any customers from the front patio, so we almost gave up before entering. Instead, we walked in and scouted the terrace and interior eating spaces. We saw that about nine people were dining, and the food smelled good so we got a table on the terrace. The view is fairly good, the service is attentive, and the offerings for lunch were interesting. We ate a "picada" of seafood, and a "tacu tacu" of pork. Portions were adequate, and the flavors were good, except that the pork dish was over-salted. Prices were high for lunch: our bill with the two dishes and two soft drinks was 16700 Chilean pesos.

Other tables seemed happy with their selections and service, as well, so we would recommend this restaurant--if you can catch a ride or use the nearby ascensór.
