Located at orchard with a great ambiance for business meetings !

The experience of watching a flambe in front of you was really unexpected for a restaurant that looked so humble!

Can tell that the owners and staffs take a lot of pride in serving the customers!

Thank you shashlik for the great experience!

Have tried the egg millionaire (AMAZING), blue fire ribs (ribs were very tender), beef stroganoff
(Amazing!), Shashlik of beef (amazing!) and chicken, chicken a la kiev (great !), fish en papillot (great !), Russian and Irish coffee (Very good !), cherry jubilee (made in front of you !), baked Alaska (amazing !)

dont let the simple decor of this place fool you, it serves up lots of great food (recommend the Shashlik Steak), as well as interesting desserts. no wonder the packed place in this corner of a quiet building along Orchard.

This restaurant is hidden on the top floor of Far East Shopping Center, which is a huge pity because it's practically impossible to get foot traffic. My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is fancy and cosy at the same time. Upon arrival we were served warm buns with butter (bread was sweet and reminiscent of the traditional bakeries)

Borscht: Not bad, decent starter, worth a try if you haven't had it before
Shashlik: Ordered medium rare and got precisely that. Beef was good and tender.
Blue fire ribs: Meat slid right off the bone. Sauce was sweet and sour and the accompanying salad was pretty good too, just the right amount of dressing.
Baked fish: Also tasty, great if you want something lighter or don't eat red meat

The portion size was just right for all of us as we left feeling satisfied and not uncomfortably full.

Prices are are a little high (aka not your everyday meal) but definitely reasonable given the quality of food and service. Would come back for a special occasion or if really craving beef.

The food was real disappointment for the relative high price - location is not great ,
but more important the food was below our expectations:
Side bread - not tasted fresh, probably coming from a supermarket pack
Bortch was ok
Egg caviar : charging too much for a couple of hard boiled egg served with a bit of fake caviar on the top and poor vegetable salad on the side
Shashliks : pork and beef - again too expensive - side dish again mixed salad - we were expecting at least some potatoes or rice with the priced paid around 30$ each dish
We left the restaurant still hungry
Too expensive

Hi Marc, thank you for taking time to give us feedback. We could hv recommended those dishes with more carbs on the side which you seemed to like, such as the Beef Stroganoff, the Upsidedown Crab or the Baked Fish.

The items you mentioned were the signature items on our menu. The tenderloins were premium cuts, air flown from Australia and are very low in fat content. The meats are marinated over 24hours that give that signature flavor of our style of Shashlik.

We understand you felt strongly about price. Our menu really caters to a full range of customers with our popular soups starting from as low as $7 and comes with a sweet bread roll too. Our weekday setlunch has been $16.80 for the longest time and we have been steadfast about the quality despite rising costs over the years.

Thank you for visiting us and we hope you will have a great week ahead.

From the 1st time I tried their borsch which was around 20yrs ago till now ... I have never found a better soup.

I tried other borsch soup versions around Europe but this version is the best... the sour cream balances the acidity of the soup... it has a really good beefy tomato flavour

The beef Shashlik has a really good beefy taste... ( but I do like eating beef especially wagyu with some shoyu, wasabi & fried garlic chips like @ tanryu and kobe steakland)

My Wife like peach Melba for its simplicity old school dessert and i love the Russian coffee... the care put into its preparation is entertaining to watch but more importantly is really good too
