The Hotel rooms were spacious, slightly old furniture but ok. Breakfast is served outside the main hotel on the foothpath and at adjacent pub. You have to fight out to get free internet. They give it if you insist, though it was part of booking.

Stayed at the Bencoolen Hotel during CommunicAsia 2010. Excellent location but that is all that there is to the hotel. Smelly carpet, you can shut the air conditioning in the room but you need to call the reception to switch it on!!! With more than 300 hotel stays in the last 15 years, I have never seen something so ridiculous! Breakfast is served on the road side and rooms are truly cramped.

The hotel it's not so bad, but the rooms smell bad: to humidity. The staff it's not too friendly, the breakfast is poor but enough. The best of the hotel is its location, it's a 1 block from Orchard av. and you can walk fron there to everywhere o take the SIA hop-on on the corner.
Most of the websites said that you get free bottled water but is not true.

Nice hotel in a great location, I was originally only booked for 2 nights but when the Icelandic volcano ash closed all the European airspace, they kept me on a day to day basis for 5 nights at the rate I had booked through a discounter.
