This is such an amazing place to eat authentic and delicious Indian food. In a pretty expensive city, the food here was so cheap. We got an amazing vegetarian meal with rice, curry and naan bread for $5.

This place is great - I think most places are only open until the afternoon but it is worth a visit for lunch. We had BBQ Hainanese chicken rice and a laksa. The food is so tasty and fresh. We had a serve of coconut pancake from Grandma’s Pancakes.
Very neatly laid own market . All fresh vegetables , fish ,poultry ,mutton etc available under one roof .Located close by to the other markets and The famous Little India ,places of worship and Mustafa the 24 hr shopping centre.
If you like to learn more about the local food and clothes, the Tekka Center can be a good option. You can eat and drink the local culinary products at a very reasonable price. You can also make some shopping to buy fresh fruit and vegetables as well as some authentic clothes. It is easy to go there by metro. When you leave the metro at the Little India Stop, you are almost there. Enjoy :)
We were really looking forward to trying the Indian food here because we had heard a lot of great things about the place but unfortunately the experience was underwhelming to say the least. The Tekka Centre is located right next to the Little India MRT this is a multi purpose building complex with a wet market which smelled horrendous the food court is on level 1 and above that there are many Indian Punjabi shops selling clothes and all sort of Indian stuff. The Hawker Centre is not the cleanest in Singapore and gets really crowded the food did not live up to the hype even though it's cheap and there are many options available but I wouldn't go there specially for the food if your staying in the neighborhood and you have to take the MRT its a cheap and easy place to get a quick bite but that's about it.
The food centre is great for all kinds of Indian/ Muslim food but there are birds flying about consuming the unfinished foods left on tables ☹️
It is rather dirty and crowded at lunch times .
The wet market adjoining the food centre is wet and smelly but worth going if u need supplies as they have everything ..... most ingredients and produce u need to cook your meal !
