Visited Yotel for the weekend and it was a pleasant surprise. The self check-in/out counters were good, but perhaps need a little tweaking to perfect the entire experience. I noticed that checking-in, most guests eventually would need assistance from staff.
After checking-in, we headed up to our room, only to find that the door reader was dead. We approached a housekeeping staff for assistance, and I greatly appreciated her response: "I apologise sir, but for the safety of our guests and their belongings, I can't open the door for you. You'll have to head down to reception for assistance on the matter. Thank you for your kind understanding." So we did just that, and were told to wait 'a short while', which turned out to be 30min.
Upon entering, we were surprised by the actual room size, even with the knowledge that the rooms were minimalistic. After the initial shock, overall I'd say you can grow on the room. The bath amenities are probably the best part of their rooms, where you defimitely won't have to call for additional tubes of shower gel or shampoo.
My only peeve was that the floor wasn't mopped/vacuumed thoroughly; small tufts of dust were visible on their wooden flooring.
Overall though, it was a great weekend staycaytion, with an extremely convenient location. Definitely would return in future again. More
