Very large hotel with an aged "institutionalised" look and feel. It feels like a cross between a "sixties" youth holiday camp and a soviet era vacation site. We had a large 2 bedroom suite, with basic comfort and facilities. The swimming pool was declared "out of commission". No wifi in the rooms, frequent internet and GSM disruptions in the lobby area. The bar area could not be used because it was taken in by local drunks. The food at dinner and breakfast was clearly and uniquely oriented for asian guests. We would probably have been better off looking for a small guesthouse with the backpack travellers.

We stayed at Banaue Hotel from July 2-4, 2019. We arrived at about 7am and was allowed to stay at the room immediately.

The guards, reception & dining staff were all courteous & always willing to help.

It's n old hotel but with clean lobby, garden, swimming pool, dining and parking areas.

Buffet & ala carte Breakfast, lunch & dinner were average. Pancit cnton, bihon and sotanghon taste very salty. Fruits served like honeydew, melon, papaya does not taste good. Bananas were alright. Fruit flies are all over in the fruit section of the buffet table

The garden has several kinds of plants. If you want a certain plant that you want to bring home, you can ask reception & they charge Php 200 per plant.

Wi-Fi is slow and only available at the lobby. Rooms have no aircon, no wifi, no television, no newspapers.

The toilet has strong water pressure. The toilet bowl is too low. Bathroom accessories needs immediate replacement. Lavatory faucet and shower handles have different sizes and forms. Shower spout needs replacement too.

Balcony door needs a screen door. If left open, insects get into the room. Balcony floor needs scrubbing due to bird manure.

Maybe the best hotel in Banaue. Others need complete renovation or demolition.
