When you step into Batavia Apartments, you can tell pretty quickly that the building is a bit older. The elevator (especially the largest one) could use some maintenance, and the rooms still have individual hot water heaters in the bathrooms instead of using a central hot water heater. The food tastes like the menu hasn't been updated in years, bland and unimaginative. The keys are still steel rather than cards, and the Wi-Fi signal is like something out of 2011.
However, it was still a very good value. We got a one-bedroom room on the 22nd floor, and exactly as advertised it included a living room, kitchen, and dining table, as well as a bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub. We had hot water, satellite TV, a large bed, and plenty of closet space. There were also three pools (one for adults, one for kids, and a hot tub) as well as a tennis/basketball court (ill-maintained, sadly) and a gym. Given the central location, it was well worth the money.More
