Positives of this small luxury hotels are; great view of Qinhuai river and the city wall!, close to Confucius temple area, near Gate of China, free parking, hot spring style bath pit inside room. Downsides (during our stay) are; hotel under maintenance (literally the whole road was under construction and difficult to find this hotel, thanks to Auto Navi!), no spa, no western breakfast. Our feeling was this hotel is not close to a resort! Very friendly hotel staff though! at least two men at front desk speak English.

Superior river view suite: sooooo reasonably priced, amazing bath-tub, delicious breakfast in bed - and incredibly accommodating staff (we'd lost credit card, needed to change flights, change travel plans - all last minute anc v stressful for us ignorant westerners!). The staff here helped us to solve everything!! Totally to recommend:)

This hotel undoubtedly has an amazing location. It is quiet and calm, away from the hubbub of the city, just 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station for convenient access to the city center. It is a beautiful hotel with a southeast asian vibe.

It seems like it once was a 5 star hotel, but now everything is slightly broken or slightly off. The refrigerator buzzed incredibly loudly making it impossible to sleep so say goodbye to any cool drinks in the morning. The gorgeous bath tub's spigot was clogged so water sprayed in all directions and took quiet a while to fill up. Nothing too serious, but everything was just a little bit broken, which is fine with me normally, but when you are paying so much money, you want everything to be perfect.

Secondly, this place is not foreigner friendly, be prepared to face a staff where no one speaks English and a very Chinese breakfast buffet.

Room tip: I really enjoyed the river view room, which had a bathtub facing a giant window overlooking the river and the old city wall. Very romantic.

Spent 4 nights here in August. A touch of Bali in Nanjing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge rooms with massive bathrooms including a walk-in shower/wet room area and an enormous bath. Very quiet area apart from regular train horns but this did not prevent good night sleep in comfy beds. We didn't try the spa and buffet breakfast was fine - mostly catering for Asian guests but ok nonetheless. The situation in the dining room looked over the garden area and the adjacent river across to the old city wall. Easy to get around or to take a cab to/from there although about 20 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Free wifi and clean rooms. Would highly recommend.

It was a little expensive but I wanted to surprise my husband. He had been working too much. We booked a house with a hot spring in the yard. It was actually the second time we had stayed with Regalia. The first time was with Regalia Nanjing Tangshan. My husband kept talking about our Tangshan trip, which was the reason why I decided to surprise him with Regalia Qinhuaihe.

The hotel is located right by the river and we could see the Qinhuai River once we step outside of our private yard. The house was clean and well facilitated, furbished in ancient Chinese style. The staff were helpful. The whole stay was very relaxing. We loved it all.

The breakfast was good, but don't have too much expectation on the quality of lunch or dinner. There weren't a lot of guests, so I guess the kitchen wasn't well prepared.
