Really good base to explore the complex history of Nanjing. With easy metro access to most of the city as well as being within easy walking distance of Confucius Temple and the lights and boats of Fuzimiao, the hotel is really well located. We also really appreciated the range of eateries and children's activities in the attached mall. The pool is a great depth for learner swimmers too!
A couple of downsides, albeit easily negotiated... Avoid the lobby lounge where heavy smoking is accepted in the evenings. Also, the hotel restaurants are primarily for the Chinese market - this means some super food experiences at breakfast. However, if you have more Western tastes beware that a lot of non-Chinese food in the morning and evening buffets that sits around for a long time. We found lots of good dining options in the mall and nearby streets.More
