Owner description: A steep climb to reach, but efforts are rewarded with over 12,000 Buddhas both outside and inside the temple. There is no admission fee. A small restaurant at the top offers refreshments, but bring your own water for the trail.

You might love this quirky temple especially if you haven't been to many Buddhist or Taoist temples before. I found it a little trashy and out of the way. On the plus we didn't see any monkey (mean or cute) or begging fake monks. The Buddhas are interesting but get a little repetitive and the place is not as well maintained as the other major temples. Given that it is a bit out of the way and a moderate climb to get to I'd pass on it.

In Shatin, and worth the visit. You climb a numbing number of stairs to see the various shrines and Buddhas. Not for anyone physically impaired.

This place is beautiful. So many statues of the buddha each with different expressions. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just be sure not to go into the cemetery as thats the first thing you see. There is an alleyway on the right hand side which takes you to the statues

This is a nice activity for a few hours. The buddhas seem to have fallen into disrepair. Many buddhas are missing.

Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs to get to this monastery but once you get there the views are incredible and the structures beautiful. If you go down the back way you can get some local honey from the Wing Wo bee farm and also see a tiny, quiet monastery where you can get blessed.
