On our recent trip to Hong Kong, my husband and I took my sister to eat here. I am a Golden Circle member and was able to redeem some gift certificates using points.
We all decided to order a set menu as that seemed like the best way to taste a lot of different thihngs. The business center helped me make reservations earlier in the day when I went to pick up the gift certificates and we arrived promptly at our reserved time.
It is a very quiet and beautifully decorated restaurant in the lower levels of the Shangri-La hotel. My 2 year old son was falling asleep and they allowed us to switch to a booth seat so that he could sleep on the booth while we dined. They had prepared a child's plate and utensils for him in case he had wanted to eat (which he didn't wake up for except during dessert/ice cream time).
The service was perfectly timed, like a choreographed dance or something. Just as we finished one course, they would clear it and bring another course. All the food we were presented with was beautiful and delicious.
Even though we had my son (and there was another family with a child that was probably 3-4 years old) we did not feel out of place or that they didn't welcome children (which is my biggest fear at higher-end restaurants).
We had an enjoyable meal and the costs came out to approximately $250 before the gift certificate usage. Quite pricey but well worth the quality and service.
