“Middling to very good”

I've returned several times for the warm, bbq pork puff pastries. Flaky soft, satisfying pastry. Inside is the Char siu pork marinated in the characteristic savoury sweet sauce. Not the pinnacle but good enough to please on multiple visits.

Egg custard tarts - again, worthy of the repeat trips especially as they're served very warm. Nowhere near as good as those at the singularly outstanding Tai Cheong bakery (Central), but certainly worth every cent of the 6HKD.

The cocktail bun, fresh cream dessicated coconut bun, and Pineapple bun, are so-so. Coconut tart is quite good.

Everything is labelled in English, and not a word of Cantonese need be spoken for a swift easy transaction.

It was Appauling. The food was all sold out when I came. It tasted like poo.The smell was great but it still was bad. I'd rather go to Saint-Honore bakery, where the bread is cheaper and the taste is better.

During our two weeks stay in Shamrock Hotel next door, we bought lunches many a times from this branch of Hoixe Cake Shop. I love their egg tarts, the BBQ pork puffs and the coconut tarts. Their tuna bread roll is also one of my favourite.

If you want to some Cantonese specialities try the BBQ pork puffs but be careful & go in the morning cause they sell fast so in the afternoon there will be none left. Also try the egg tarts, apart from these 2 the rest is so so.
