What a wonderful experience. No point in repeating what others have said but if you have a few days in Hong Kong and can get a booking; do it!

We arrived late on the A10 bus from the Airport. It stops at the Pok Fu Lam Village bus stop which is less than five minutes walk. There was no one other than the security guard at the front door but we were expected and were taken to the sixth floor where we were checked in. This was about 0100 (1am) after a two hour delay in our flight from Australia.

Apart from the final morning when we utilised the shuttle provided by the hotel to Hong Kong station for the Airport Express check in, we used normal public transport all the time.

If there was to be a criticism, and this has to be a little picky I must admit, the information about the buses TO the hotel (apart from the A10) isn't completely clear. So you could find yourself somewhere in town and not quite know where to catch the bus back!

From the Kowloon side, we found the 973 to be very convenient. It also continues to Stanley and is the best way to get from T Hotel to Stanley. (There are other options but they can be a little confusing or daunting to the visitor).

Quite by chance, on Monday night, after taking the Star Ferry to Central we came across the #22 public light bus. We hadn't used one before and an old man waiting for the bus started to chat (in English). We realised the bus went past Pok Fu Lam and he told the driver where we wanted to get off. An absolutely amazing experience that took us along all these narrow streets in the Mid Levels.

The breakfast at the T Hotel is amazing and the views are beyond description but be prepared for fog and smog so if you're staying a few days and it's clear and you have your camera in hand seize the opportunity!

The staff are unpaid students. They are delightful and try ever so hard (under strict supervision). Some are more outgoing than others. Their appearance and presentation is immaculate (as is everything else around the hotel).

We had a problem with tea bags not having been restocked one day and called reception to ask for some more. It was mid evening and seemed all "too hard" (because of the limited English spoken) so we never saw our additional tea bags. But that was hardly a worry.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room; ours was 603 and was wonderful.

My wife and I stayed at the T Hotel for a week during January 2013 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel.

We stayed in room 610 which was a very nice room which had a great view out over the bay below. However, while the hotel overall was very quiet the room itself could have quite a lot of noise intrusion. This was coming from the level above and not directly attributable to the hotel. while this was not a problem for us but it could be for someone who is a light sleeper.

The staff at the hotel are students and it is important to keep this in mind when booking. In this respect the service recieved will be directly related to the experience the students have. We enjoyed interacting with the students and found every one of them to be pleasant and extremely helpful.

Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. We also had dinner in the hotel twice and it was also good.

Getting to and from the hotel is very simple. From the airport there are a number of options including taxi, bus or train. We travelled by the Airport Express train to Hong Kong Central. Then by taxi to the hotel. Total travel time was about 35 minutes.

Travelling around from the hotel is also easy. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the complex and there are frequent buses.. The hotel staff will also call a taxi if required. Likewise returning to the hotel is simple. The cost of a bus to Hong Kong Central is around £0.50. While The same trip in a taxi is around £5.00.

We would recommend the T Hotel.

Amazing,we got picked up by hotel taxi, well worth it.It just kept getting better, room was large, brilliant design with great views, food was excellent and so cheap,£40 for two including wine.Tremendous breakfast, great gym which was needed and free shuttle into the centre each morning. The trainees tried really hard all the time and so many of them, but always well managed. It was a real pleasure to stay here and nothing was too much.If you are in Hing Kong you will not get better.

Each night was charged at HK$1130 (GBP92, US$146) while we stayed over Christmas, perhaps the price differs when not Christmas; From Central station in a taxi it costs HK$60 (GBP5, US$8) or $5 per person by bus (of which there are many). Upon booking, you get a easy-to-read bus and route guide. Check-in was easy and staff we eager to help us find all the attractions and things to do in Hong Kong. Since it's a training hotel, there was a manager stood nearby to help in case the trainees couldn't help with a request.

When you go to your room, the trainees give you a small ""tour"" around the room - ours lasted for over 5 minutes which, although it was nice they were wanting to 'show off' the great amenities, we were left thinking 'hurry up, all I want to do is lie down'. The rooms are really big with a whole desk/work area and a nice day bed by the window. Big TV, massive comfy bed, large bathroom with powerful hot shower. Fancy 'electric smart glass' between bedroom and bathroom which turns from regular glass to opaque when you flick the switch. Nice big bath with TV also in bathroom.

Every night they came and left us some treats by the bed - since our visit was over Christmas we had mince pies and Santa cookies - really nice idea. Curtains drawn, slippers laid out by each bedside and the covers pulled back slightly. Breakfast was tasty but the selection only average. Views out over the China sea were really nice to wake up to each morning.

All the staff during our stay were incredibly eager to please, but I'd say it was definitely "American-style" service, with constant "Hello, how are you, Merry Christmas, are you enjoying your stay, is everything OK, anything I can do?" This was nice but sometimes a little 'too much'. We'd definitely stay again and would say don't let the comments about 'being miles away' put you off, it's not - there were no traffic jams, taxis and buses are cheap and frequent. Thanks you T Hotel Team for a lovely Christmas 2012.

We loved the T-Hotel. The hotel was very easy to get to from the airport with a half-hourly direct bus route which goes door to door stopping right opposite the hotel. Getting into the main bit of Hong Kong is easy too, taxis are plentiful and buses go every couple of minutes.

Everything about the hotel is 5 star apart from the prices. The restaurant is great quality and very reasonably priced.

Remember when you go that this hotel is entirely staffed by students who are learning their trade. Bear this in mind during any communication problems or if processes take a bit longer than you would normally expect ie checking in/out, requesting services.

The staff and students are very friendly and helpful and it was a fantastic experience for both the luxury and the pocket staying here
