I stayed here for 3 nights last December before Christmas. All other hostels that are clean in Hong Kong were fully booked. I stumbled upon the Hello Inn website after frantically searching for a place to stay after my flight ticket was issued.

Location: Ugly from the outside. SUPER convenient from MTR (the exit is to the doorstep of Mirador Mansion).

Cleanliness: SUPER clean especially the bathroom (I'm picky for clean bathrooms. Thanks Ivan!)

Size of room: Enough to put one huge luggage and one carry-onn. The rest can be stored either outside the room or under the bunk bed.

Value: CHEAP as compared to other hostels that might not be as clean and cozy as this place.

However, don't be too over-expectant on comfy bed because the bed is small and not equipped with spring mattress.

I will definitely stay here again next time!

THANK YOU, IVAN!!!!!!

Room Tip: Choose the bunkbed room if you travel with friends. The double bed is small.

Ivan made me feel very welcome and everything was good!
The house is a bit shady, but I didn't feel any discomfort after a couple days.
Will definatley be back again.

Hello Inn is located inside Mirador Mansion, the better one of the other mansion, Chungking. Nonetheless, Mirador Mansion shows signs of aging and needs some refurbishing and updating. There are two elevators going to the 6th Floor (where Hello Inn is) but the volume of people going to and out of Mirador may make riding the elevators a bit difficult.

TIP: When the elevators are jam-packed, I usually opt to use the one going to the 7th Floor (no one uses that), and then going down the stairs directly in front of the elevator to the 6th Floor.

Mirador Mansion is near several MTR exits (TST) so travelling via MTR is seamless. Just remember to have an Octopus card so that it won't be a hassle buying single-travel tickets. You can also use the Octopus card in the nearby 7-11 store and fastfood chains like McDonald's and Burger King.

Unlike the mansion where it is housed, Hello Inn is clean, well-kept and cozy. Ivan (the owner) ensures that the guests have the best stay there possible. He's very helpful in pointing out directions to the places you want to go and should go. There are maps in the Inn to help you and wi-fi is available if you badly needed google map. :D

Stayed here for three nights and the location of the Inn allowed me to simply walk to nearby tourist areas like the Avenue of the Stars, the Star Jetty Pier, the Museum of Arts, the Museum of History and the Museum of Science. Would stay here again when I return to HK.

I stayed in Hello Inn for 5 nights. It located very near to the MTR station. Hello Inn is really a nice place to stay, safe and value for money. Although the room is small but it was well-equipped and clean. I will stay here again if I travel to Hong Kong again!

Was there with another friend of mine for our first Hong Kong trip. We found Hello Inn as the no. 1 B&B in HK thru Trip Advisor. Ivan, the owner keeps the place clean and cozy for the residents. We stayed at the deluxe double room (the one in red). The room was equipped with hot shower, air-cond (which we didn't switch on at all, it was cold), TV and free wifi. Other than that, you can get hot water outside the room (for instant drinks or food). The place is strategic, at Tsim Sha Tsui, where just beside the MTR TST D1 Exit. It's easy to find restaurant (or char chan teng), 7-11, Bonjour at the downstairs. Security is pretty good compared to Chung King Mansion which is just steps away. Ivan is friendly and willing to help. He keeps all the travel information (including maps) in a shelf, residents can simply borrow them as long as return them after using.
Personally, Hello Inn is clean, safe, convenient and worth the price. I will stay here again the next time I go to Hong Kong.
