“Great harbour view!”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

This hotel is best suited for the travelling executives but wife and I stay there for a social visit due to its proximity to Star Ferry and MTR station (5 min walk). It is expensive for a small room (300sq ft) but the amenities are all 5-star. Great and prompt service. We asked for extra ice and bottled drinking water and it was delivered within minutes of our request. Easy check-in and check-out. I would have rated this as excellent (5 stars) but had to settle for 4 because of the high prices.

Business centre staff were very nice. Lobby area was large but very cold.

Beds were the hardest I have ever slept in and the pillows were not much better. Small twin room but I had half a harbour view towards the Star Ferry which was very close and handy.

Breakfast very good but expensive. Small gift shop in the hotel is handy for business travellers without much time. Would stay here again - except for the rock hard bed.

Room Tip: Join the loyalty program when you arrive and receive free wifi throughout the hotel during your stay...

I found this hotel to be wonderful. Traveled to HK on business. As a Platinum Member, I received the upgrade to the Concierge level. For a hotel located in the middle of the business center the prices are very reasonable. Yes, expensive but the location drives that and compared to other business hotels in the area, this one is well priced.

The staff were friendly and I experienced no delays at check in or out, although to be fair I arrived very late and left very early. The newly remodeled room was beautifully done. A bit small in size by Western standards but probably large for Asian standards. Comfy bed, Impeccably clean room.

The Concierge room was closed during remodeling but the Management made alternative plans for guests to use the breakfast restaurant and lounge for snacks. This is more than I have seen in the US, where when the Concierge room is under construction the guests just do without. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, from a fruit stand, dumpling and soup kiosk, Western breakfast, cheeze and cold cuts, and cereals. Food was excellent.

The hotel is very conveniently located, right next to a central bus station and the ferry to Kowloon and down the street a bit from the subway. Public transportation in HK is excellent and being so close to these options is key if you are here for pleasure. (Buy and Octupus Card at the airport, load it with a couple hundred HKD, and you can get around anywhere quickly and easily.)

Room Tip: Higher floors are better - less traffic noise. Harbor view is worth it.

Stayed for 5 nights in March 2012. We had a Harbour View room on the 31st floor and it was terrific. Great view, really comfortable bed and immaculately decorated/furnished. Shower was good too. Our booking included buffet breakfast which had a everything imaginable on the menu. We had been advised by our travel agent a few weeks before we travelled that there was renovation work taking place but would not have known as there was no sign of it during our stay. There were lots of staff who were very helpful and courteous. Will definately stay there again next time we visit HK
