This area looks almost pristine
Chongqing itself is extremely polluted and usually chaotic, but up here anybody can simply relax and enjoy nature
Waterfalls are magnificent

Thank longqi

We were walking up the hill and came across adorable baby monkeys - most of us had some food on us so we gave them some bananas which they quickly devoured.

This was incredibly beautiful. There was a five tier waterfall was the most spectacular waterfall I've ever seen. You walk through a bamboo forest.

We took the Cable Car up from Beibei, ( 45 minute drive from downtown Chongqing ). it's a local one, a little rough but works fine, it's quite a long way up to the Mountain Station, a good 20 minutes cost RMB 25 each way. Then there are lots of tracks around and up to a few peaks including Shuzi Peak, Lions Peak, and an old Temple and Pagoda. The paths are pretty well kept, air very fresh and nice altitude. If the weather is good you can get a good view, otherwise usual Chongqing fog. But it's very refreshing to get out of the city, relatively quiet and nice. Some old hotels up there you can stay. A good escape from the hustle and bustle of CQ with great mountain air.
